Nursing Assistant Training Program Information
This is a FREE three week training course for those interested in becoming a Nursing Assistant at Menorah Park. Learn the roles and responsibilities of a Nursing Assistant, including clinical skills, vital signs, bed side manner and more. Please complete the online application and questionnaire. Applicants will be called and scheduled for an interview if they are qualified for the program. All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a solid work history and the desire to care for the elderly. Applicant must provide two letters of professional reference (example: job, school, work programs) at the time of the interview. All chosen candidates must be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check.

The hours of the class are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm. No evening classes are available. At the conclusion of the three week course students will be eligible to sit for the State Test for nursing assistants. Students will be considered for any open nursing assistant positions if they successfully complete the course. The state testing fee is paid only for those graduates who are hired as Menorah Park employees. If a student is hired they will be required to attend an eight day orientation immediately following the class. The first two days are 8:30AM - 5:00PM, days 3, 4, and 5 are 7:00AM - 3:30PM and days 6, 7, and 8 are scheduled on your assigned shift
